What happens when your graphics go haywire? Locales can take on an entirely different appearance, heads and bodies can become other objects. Objects can become just about anything!
The worst graphic problem I have experienced happened on Jan 30, 1998. I decided to take some pictures of what I was seeing...
Image deghosting and instead of seeing your normal avatar, you see a strange piece of scenery. Scenery? Yes, scenery!!! I took up over 1/3 of the locale!
Me!!
This is the piece of scenery that my avi turned into!!! Notice the table? It can be found in the jungle now, but at the time this happened, we had nothing inworld like it!!!
If this wasn't bad enough, it got worse!! I went over into the Winter Locales of Mediation Park.
The black Monster heads actually ID as snowdrifts!! So here I am, a tropical piece of scenery standing in black monster head snowdrifts!!!
At this point, these goofy graphics were pretty funny... but they got progressively worse! Check out this next picture!
This picture was taken at Elevator 3 (before the Turf Building had its face lift). Nothing is as it should be except for the color of the floor and side wall. Oh, and L2 of course - at least AT THIS POINT she was still in one piece! As you will see, that didn't last long!
