Pooh the sphinx!

Hi again!  I know it has been a while since I wrote to tell you of all of the marvelous things I have discovered, but life has been really really busy!   My family recently moved and let me tell you, talk about an adventure!  I had the most fun with all of these boxes that started appearing around the place...you know, they are great to jump into and out of and they make absolutely the best hiding places!!!

Mom told me I was the biggest help during this move!  Of course, at first I didn't know what a move was (I was hoping it was like a new toy and in some ways I was right but in other ways, well...).  I helped to inspect all of the boxes that Mom put down for packing (well, someone had to make sure that they were put together well enough).  I also absolutely insisted on helping with all of the newspapers that Mom layed out to wrap things with.  You know, newspapers are a wonderful invention and an even more wonderful toy!  I know they were made with kitties in mind!  They make these wonderful sounds when you pounce on them and they can go s-l-i-d-d-i-n-g across the floor at the same time too!  They are wonderful to bat (soft on the paws you know), make excellent tunnels to hide in and are great fun to shred!  One of the funnest things (though Mom didn't seem to appreciate it most of the time) was to jump into a box when it had newspaper and stuff in it!  I got rather tickled at the expression on Moms face a few times when I did that though!  But, she fully understood that I had taken it upon myself to inspect these boxes...be they full or empty...to make sure they were up to the highest of standards.

One thing that surprized me about this moving thing though...things were really strange..I mean, furniture and toys and everything else got totally rearranged and then taken out of the house.  I really didn't know what to think of that.  They moved everything out of a room and then I had to spend the day in that room (Mom said she was afraid that I might get stepped on with all of the boxes and furniture being moved).   When I got to come out - everything was gone!  I must tell you that it led to a few moments of panic for me.  Mom assured me that everything would be okay, but I just wasn't too sure about it.  After all, how fun would it be to live in a place with nothing to be on other than the floor and no toys to play with?  Actually, I thought the whole family had gone mad or something...I had really liked the furniture and toys and just couldn't understand why they were no longer there.  My brothers and sisters (and even the doggy) seemed to be a bit confused about it all too.

When Mom picked me up and put me in my travel house I didn't know whether to be relieved or scared.  Of course, it was cozy and comfy but with everything else going on, I just wasn't sure about anything at that point.  Mom told me it would all be okay, that she was taking me to our new home and that I would see all of my toys and the rest of the family there.  I didn't quite understand what she was trying to tell me, but her voice was calming and soothing to me, so I decided to just wait and see what strange thing would come next.

Let me tell you, I was quite relieved when I got to the new home and discovered that all of my toys and all of the furniture that I knew and loved was there and so was my whole family!  Whew!!

As I am sure you can imagine, this ended up being another wonderful adventure!  New places to investigate, more boxes to inspect, more newspapers to play in and bat about!!  You know, it was even funner when the newspapers came out of the boxes than when they went in...Mom even tossed them around for me to play with!  I mean to tell you that I had a wonderful time!

The pictures here are from before the move, so they are not very current but Mom says that it won't be long before the current ones are developed (what ever that means) and she says I will need to write and tell you more of my adventures at that time.   I hope you enjoy my pictures 'cause I had a great time posing for them!  Oh yea, in case you are wondering, this background on my page is me too!!

Pooh Playing
Hum, should I chase this white fluffy thing or the hand that is moving it?
Why go with the fluff?  Best to go right to the source!

Pooh Batting    Got it!
Okay, okay...so fluff is nice sometimes too!

 Did you say something?

   Peek!
Peek!  Shucks, you found me and I thought I was hiding soooo well!

 What's in there anyway?
What's in here anyway?
I hope this isn't a new litter box, I can't figure out how to get inside.
