A kittens perspective of the world from 2 to 3 months old...
written in his own words!

HI EVERYONE!!! Seems it's been a while since I updated my corner here, but it has been hard to take a break from all of my daily activities. I admit, I get way too involved in things like chasing my tail and playing ball, but hey, I'm only 4* months old and a kitten has to do what a kitten has to do! Mom finally talked me into doing it though, so, here I am!!!
I promised you an update on the tail buisness. Well, let me tell you, tails are simply the cats meow! Mine is a trusted playmate that goes everywhere with me! When ever I can't find something to do, I simply look behind me and there it is! I think it loves to play as much as I do! I do get a bit dizzy at times chasing that rascal though! Unfortunately though, I just simply can't figure out how it gets away from me so easily each time.
I just love to investigate things and that seems to be getting easier and easier as I get bigger. In fact, everytime I think I have fully investigated everything that exists, I suddenly notice something else that I hadn't checked out before!
One of my most amazing discoveries is this clear stuff that my Mom calls water. It all started close to the first time that I was able to jump up to the counter. Boy was I proud of myself! I had been eyeing that uninvestigated area for quite some time but just couldn't seem to make the full leap. When I finally made it up there, was I ever surprised... there was a white hole in it (Mom calls it a sink)! A big enough hole for me to fit in! Mom laughed when I first put my feet in it and discovered that there was wet stuff in it. Well, being a detective of the first degree I simply had to figure this stuff out. At first I didn't realize that it was the same refreshing drink that I find in my bowl, but a taste test proved it to be exactly that. One day I heard a funny sound coming from that counter so I leaped up to see what it was. Wow! Was I surprized to see some of that clear stuff (I think it is called water) making a straight line into the sink-thing. I approched it very cautiously. It made no move towards me (and my Mom was right there so I felt a tad bit braver) so I stuck my paw in it. My paw got all wet (so did my Mom when I shook that water off of my paw)! I still haven't fully figured this stuff out though. It sits quietly in my bowl for me to drink yet it makes funny noises as it runs into the sink. Since it hasn't attacked me, I have continued to investigate it. I love to watch how it moves (and to drink some as it comes out of the faucet) but it sure feels funny when I get my paws into it. My Mom laughs as I get my feet wet and then get everything else wet shaking them off, but I am a brave kitten so I will continue to investigate this to the best of my ability. In fact, when ever I hear that water noise, I come running to play with this most interesting and unusual toy!
I have practiced my pounces and have them perfected now. In fact I love to hide and (with my most amazing burst of speed) run and pounce on unsuspecting prey! One of my favorite things to pounce on is a ball that has a bell inside of it. It makes such a funny noise!
My Mom bought me two furry creatures to cuddle up with. One is really big but the other one is just my size! They have the same name that I do too! Funny thing about them, they don't move very much (of course if I push them or lean too hard on them, they will move but otherwise they just kind of sit there!). I think Mom bought them cause they were named after me! She took some pictures of me with these two soft things... she calls these pictures Pooh with Pooh!
Here I am leisuring relaxing with the other Poohs!

Did you say something?

See, this little Pooh is just my size!

My Mom spends alot of time at her computer. I really like it when she is sitting there because if I wander up close to the keyboard, she will usually pick me up. Don't tell her, but I really do it on purpose because my favorite place to sleep is curled up in her arms. When she picks me up I can usually convince her that I really need to be cuddled and would just love to take a kitten nap! It doesn't take much convincing either... a couple of pats with my paw, a big and deep purr, rubbing my head against her cheek... then all I need to do is curl up, close my eyes and I am off on adventures in dreamland!
You know, there are some really funny things on that computer at times. She has a couple of games that I love to sit and watch. One has these funny things that she calls cards that fly all over the screen (I think she says they are being dealt but I have no idea what that means... people say such strange things at times) and another one has little balls that fly all over the place and make really cool sounds! But it is very strange because I have tried to touch these things and hit them with my paw but all that I end up touching is this smooth surface.
Here I am getting a close up look at the flying cards,
trying to figure out just what is going on!

I have gotten to know one of the other family members rather well now. His name is Mickey and Mom calls him an Italian Greyhound (she also calls him a mini-greyhound but hey, I don't see anything mini about this Mickey 'cause he is lots bigger than me!). I must admit that I am not always quite sure what to make of him. He likes to play but he is soooo much bigger than me. I get brave sometimes though (especially when he is going the opposite direction)! I show him that I am not scared of him by chasing him up onto the couch! And those other times, well, it just LOOKS like I am running from him! Actually, he's not such a bad fellow though... here is a picture of us greeting each other in the standard fashion... nose to nose!
