An Unexpected Cat...

This is not so much of a story as it is something that has my wife and I baffled.

I am attaching a picture I took on the evening of July 7th. I was in the living room and my wife and our dog Porsche were in the bedroom. My wife was laying on her stomach in the bed watching TV and Porsche was lying on the other side of the bed with her tongue hanging out.

I figured this was a photo-op, so I grabbed my digital camera. Unfotunately, the only light in the bedroom was from the TV, so it did not focus very well. After I took the picture, I switched the camera over to "play" so I could review it.

The first thing I noticed was a second pair of eyes near the left of the photo which appeared to be part of a cat face. Much to my surprise, I immediately turned to see our cat sitting on the chair next to me. I called back to my wife to ask who was in the bedroom with her and she said it was just her and Porsche.

As near as I can estimate, the picture clearly shows the face of a siamese cat. I copied and pasted a section of a picture of our cat to clearly show the difference. You can see Porsche to the right, the colors in my wife's nightgown as well as the back of her hair, and even the colors of the bedspread. As well, whatever it is that is on the photo was not in the viewscreen when I snapped the shot.

My wife and I used to have a siamese cat, which had to be put down 4 years ago for pancriatic cancer.

I sent this picture to a professional photo company to see if they could do anything about enhancing it. While they were not able to enhance the image at all, they stated the following:

1. The eyes in the photo are definately not from a human face.
2. They are 100% sure the image is that of a small, dark colored animal (95% chance it is a cat).
