Not Who She Thought...
This didn't happen to me personally, but my grandmother once told me that
when my mother was a teenager she had gone to visit a friend one day. After waiting a
while for my mom to return home, my grandmother went to bed. Sometime late in the night,
my grandmother said that my mom finally came home and slithered into bed beside her,
waking her in the process. My grandmother told my mom how late it was and that she
shouldn't stay out so late next time, she was greeted by a muffled reply, and soon after
she asleep.
However when my grandmother woke-up next morning, my mom was nowhere to be found. Thinking
that my mom went outside or something, she went ahead and made breakfast. My mom strolled
in at that point apologising to my grandma. My mom said she stayed too late and decided
not to come home last night, so she spent the night with her friend. My grandmother is
still wondering to this day (many years later) who was sleeping beside her that night.
