The Icy Hand
I wanted to let you know about some unexplained experiences in the home I
have been renting for 2 years. The home was built around the 1930s or
40's - its a small home with only 1 bedroom.
I started going out with someone that lived about 2 miles away and so I wasn't spending
much time in my new home. One evening, I went home to do some laundry and I was sitting
watching tv. I had the heat on and my sofa (which I was sitting on) is right next to the
heater - so the room was nice and toasty.
Suddenly I felt like a ice cold "hand" on my leg right above my left knee - I
rubbed the area to warm it up and it would not work at first. Gradually, as I kept rubbing
it - it finally became warm again.
Another time, it was late at night, probably about 1 a.m. and I went to my outside side
porch to smoke a cigarette. I heard someone say "Hey!" and looked around, there
was no one that I could see. I ignored it and since I live in a town with a college a half
block away, I thought perhaps it was a student or someone talking to someone else. Then I
heard it about 2-3 more times - I kept looking around and never saw anyone. Then I heard
"it" say: "Hey, yah I'm talking to you !" I freaked out, dropped my
cigarette and ran into my house. Maybe it was a person - but it was a freaky experience
that never happened again.
Lastly - in the last year, when I would return from work at the end of the
day being gone about 10 hours - sometimes as I was finding my house key on my keyring, I
would hear what sounded like a calm conversation going on in my living room and as I put
the key in the lock and opened the door, the sounds stopped. This has happened numerous
times.
