A House Full of Ghosts
I was too young to realize what was really happening in our old victorian
home. But now looking back on it, I can't believe I wasn't scared to death!
Our house was very big. A dream house to any kid who wanted to play hide and seek. It was
also very rundown and my dad was working on it constantly. Whenever he started pounding
away at the old walls, the scent of womens perfume filled the air.. and it was not my
mothers.
Me and my sister shared a room and every night while we were lying in bed, we would hear
voices.. like a crowd of people were running around in the long hallway outside our door.
My sister got the worst of it. Every night.. it was nightmares, constant nightmares. She
would often run crying into my parents room telling them about all the people she saw in
the hallway. She would cry constantly, running into the bathroom and hiding in the corner.
One time, she grabbed my hands and started scraping them with soap and water.. screaming
at me that they were "covered in blood."
My brother even made a friend of a little irish boy who we've never seen.. but neighbors
and friends have. My parents' friends would come over and ask.."who's that little boy
your son was playing with?" or "who was that little boy we saw staring out of
your sons bedroom window?" it was a mystery to them. We also heard my brother talking
to absolutley no one when he was in his room all alone.
After awhile.. my parents decided to do some research on our house. They found out that in
the early 1900's, there was a rich family that lived in that house. The owners had a lot
of children, and one of them, a little boy, fell down the flight of stairs (which is a
very long fall), and he died. I concluded myself that all the people we would hear at
night in the hallway were the people rushing to help him.
After my experiences in that house, I definelty believe in ghosts... and I also believe
that not all of them are harmful... maybe they just need a friend.
