Dream or Ghostly Vision?
I've always been interested in ghost stories or unexplained happenings, because I had one when I was little. I had what I like to just call a "vision" because I don't really know what it was.
For about the first ten years of my life, I'm 21 now, I lived in an old house (I think it is about 68 years old now) it was built in the post WWII suburban neighborhood boom. My "vision" happened when I was about five.
I don't remember exact details, cause I was so young, but I remember waking up in the middle of the night and seeing, floating above my bed, a light blue transparent figure. The only thing I can relate what it looked like to, is a grim reaper cloak thing. It had no prominent details about it. It was like a drawing and just taking a pencil and coloring in the whole figure. It had arms covered with the sleaves, no hands, and no feet. I also could not make out a face because of the hood. Now you could say I was dreaming, which I don't totally dismiss. But I clearly remember waking up and then seeing the figure. And, of course, I started screaming at the top of my lungs.
It remained above my bed while I was screaming until, my parents bedroom door opened, and my mom came in my room. My mom, stayed in the room with me until I fell asleep, and that's all that happened the rest of the night. To this day, I don't know what it was, and have not told very many people about it, cause most people dismiss it as a dream. All I know is that if it was a dream, for being only five when it happened, it is still the worst dream I've ever had!
