Just wanted to say goodbye...
My wife had a 16 year old cat which she was very close to. However, it became very ill and was taken to the vets for tests. We got a phone call from the vets informing us that we had to go down in the morning to give permission to put her down.
That night, while we were in bed (at 10 o`clock), both wide awake, we heard her collar bell coming up the stairs, stopping at the top & scrapping the door. I reluctantly got out of bed to check, but nothing was there, thankfully. We were phoned in the morning with the news that the cat took a turn for the worse, so was put down at 10 o`clock precisely. With the wife's wish, we went to the vets to fetch her collar.
