The Dragons Lair: What Dragons Like!

Howdy! I be Jonda. So, you thinks you want to know what dragons like, yes?
Not easy to answer, no, not easy at all.
"Why" you say? Humans we are like, differences we have.
Speak I can only do for me.
Maybe typical I am, maybe typical I am not!

Forests I like. Forests and swamps and lakes! Mystical they are. Enchanting they can be!
Watch do I the creatures there. Quiet except for voices that there reside.
Birds, they speak and sing their hearts.
Wind tells its secrets to the trees. Leaves whisper winds secrets to each other.
Zen are the frogs. "Burup" say some, while others speak "Ribit". To sit, to hop, to swim, to be.
Sit quiet to listen do I.
Bugs be small with single voice that grows. One sings, another joins. Soon entire forest hears chorus one voice began.

More do I do than sit quiet in the forest.
Love do I stories! And yes, campfire stories too.
Others tell you, "Jonda like jokes." I do!
Blush I do as I tell, I like practical jokes too!
Flying, not in open skies like most. Like do I to zip around the trees and chase the birds!
Hide and seek is fun. Being not big dragon makes game fun. Big ones not hide well!
Float on my back in water, yes, watching clouds go by. Nice thing on hot days!
Fishing I like too!
Cold days, sit by a fire and stay warm. I like cold not at all.

Food, I like food! Want to know my favorites, you do?
Sweet berries and roasted rabbit. Fish, wrapped in leaves and baked.
Wild onions and cooked acorns.
Forest food.

Nome, my friend loves flying more than anything. Roast pork is Stormy's favorite food and storms he likes.
Matisse loves beaches. Jake loves mountains and beef.
Can't say for others. They probably like other things.
